Ferrosan™ iron oxide can be used as a component of organometallic catalysts in a heterogeneous catalysis reaction in the purification of gas emissions from carbon monoxide.
It is used in the oxidation reaction of CO to reduce harmful emissions and protect the environment. According to modern requirements of "green chemistry", emissions of gases from chemical industries into the atmosphere, the main of which is highly active and highly toxic carbon monoxide, must pass through gas purification systems. One of the main tasks of these systems is to carry out a heterogeneous catalysis reaction to oxidize carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide.
